    Join the St. Charles Jewish Community for a farbrengen, an informal and inspirational gathering of song and togetherness, in honor of Yud Tes Kislev. Yud Tes Kislev, the 19th of Kislev, is the Jewish New Year of Chassidism. It commemorates the 1798 liberation of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi in Czarist Russia. Rabbi Chaim will lead with Chassidic teachings, stories and songs, musically accompanied by Will Soll.

  • Yud Tes Kislev, the 19th of Kislev, is the Jewish New Year of Chassidism. It commemorates the 1798 liberation of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi in Czarist Russia. On a more local level, this will be an opportunity to mark and celebrate the recent printing of the St. Charles County Tanya, a practical, spiritual guide for every Jew that was authored by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi.
